Allegro Ice Dance Club
The Allegro Ice Dance Club was formed in 2003 to promote the sport and artistry of ice dancing. They are affiliated with the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Association.

East Auckland Embroidery Guild
Do you enjoy all things related to needlework? Meetings held by the Guild, once a month, foster support and the exchange of ideas, promote the enjoyment of needlework and present a series of lectures, tutorials, classes and similar activities. All welcome.
Eastern Stars Band
Eastern Stars Concert Band is made up of several concert bands and has around 100 members. Barrie Turner (musical director) assists new learners to get started, as well as seeing where experienced players may fit into more advanced senior bands.

Fo Guang Shan Temple
Fo Guang Shan New Zealand was established to propagate the ideals of Humanistic Buddhism as expounded by founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun. The temple is a place of worship and to promote interfaith, education and cultural diversity. It also hosts events that foster harmony between various faiths.

Howick Art Group
Howick Art Group is an Incorporated Society comprising some 140 members of all ages and origins, based in East Auckland. The group membership is a collection of amateur, professional and semi-professional artists who exhibit several times a year within the area.
Howick Brass Inc
Howick Brass has been an integral part of the community since 1959 and is one of Auckland’s most active and versatile brass bands.
Howick Children’s & Youth Theatre Inc
Drama classes for kids aged 5-22 years. Children progress and move onto performance classes where they are involved in a production each year. HCYT also run holiday programmes for children at primary and intermediate school.
Howick Floral Art Club
Howick Floral Art Club meet every fourth Monday of the month, from February through to November, at Nixon Park Bowling Club, Selwyn Road, Howick. The Club day starts at 1pm and includes demonstrations, workshops and a shared lunch. All skill levels are welcomed.
Howick Historical Village
Explore the early settlement of Howick as it was in the mid to late 1800s and see how the early settlers would have lived as they went about their daily activities. You can interact with costumed villagers, play a game of hoops and explore the heritage garden.
Howick Little Theatre
Formed in 1954, Howick Little Theatre is one of Auckland’s leading community theatre groups in New Zealand. Each year five main-house plays are staged, many of them premieres, to thousands of people who come from all over Auckland as well as parts of the upper North Island.
Howick Photographic Society
Howick Camera Club has been in existence for more than 60 years and is affiliated to the Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ). With members at all stages in photography, the more experienced photographers love to share their knowledge.

Howick School of Music’s mission is to give people, especially children and youth, the opportunity to develop their creative musical potential in an inspirational and affordable community environment.
Howick Spinners
Since the late 1970s and meeting out of a private home, the Howick Spinners have expanded. Offering free tuition to new members, there is an array of opportunities including commercial carding, the colouring of fleeces, wool and alpaca and receiving a quarterly copy of Creative Fibre NZ. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
Indian-Kiwi Positive Ageing
Indian-Kiwi Positive Ageing is a local cultural organisation that promotes holistic wellbeing and quality of life for Indian members in our community, particularly elders and their families. The group aims to help those adapt to their life here in Aotearoa, New Zealand and comes together for meetings, events and activities.
Joy International Folk Dancers
Joy Dancers was established in 2003. The members are folk dance lovers. Their aim is to instruct international folk dance and to take part in multicultural events. Joy Dancers are delighted to meet different cultural folk dance groups and also to make voluntary contributions to communities within the Auckland area.
Korean Positive Ageing
Korean Positive Ageing Charitable Trust is a local cultural organisation that acts as a support network, for the Korean community in East Auckland. Made up of qualified and skilled volunteers, they provide a range of activities, meetings, events, workshops, and opportunities for those who face daily challenges, particularly for older members and their families.
Love Dance Troupe
Love Dance Troupe was set up in August 2017 with the aim to perform and develop dances of various Chinese main and minority ethnics. The group consists of young working mothers who love for dance and traditional Chinese culture.
Manukau Concert Band
Manukau Concert Band are a community concert band with a membership of musicians of all ages from across East and South Auckland. Their repertoire ranges from popular marches and show tunes to light classical pieces and music composed for concert bands.
MEGANZ School of Visual Arts
MEGANZ School of Visual Arts encourages students to research their subject through the use of a visual diary. Students can begin classes any time of the year and at any ability level. The school also provides assistance to college students with their art-boards and to gather work for University portfolios.
Move Dance
Easy partner dancing classes for those with two left feet! Social and local, a great place to enhance your step count in a social atmosphere and exercise by distraction. The dance style is Modern Jive, a hybrid of street latin styles and rock n roll/jitterbug. Partners are not required as they rotate the classes. Join them and be assured of a dance!
Neverland Studios
Neverland Studios teaches classes in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Contemporary to all ages. Our Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre are focused on up-skilling dancers in these genre.
Pakuranga Chinese Association
The Pakuranga Chinese Association has than 900 members, mostly elderly Chinese immigrants living in the Eastern Suburbs. Activities such as folk dance, choir singing, waist drumming, calligraphy, painting and literature classes, are held on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings in the Pakuranga Leisure Centre and at Te Tuhi.
Polish Heritage Trust Museum
The Polish Heritage Trust Museum is a GLAM (Gallery Library Archive Museum). Curated exhibits of national and international significance sit alongside an eclectic mix of personal objects donated by the community. They regularly offer guided tours, films and workshops. This is the only museum of its type in the Pacific.
Rat World
Rat World is an independent print magazine and collective all about platforming underground and underrepresented voices. Created by two East Aucklanders Jennifer Cheuk and Aidan Dayvyd, Rat World showcases emerging, minority and experimental creatives in our community. Their goal is to bring back the spirit of old school print magazines. Because of this, the design of Rat World is inspired by retro NYC punk zines and underground comix mags.
Red Studio
Founded in Howick in 2015, Red Studio is led by Kiri Whitford-Joynt and her team of passionate teachers. They run academy training programmes for competitive dancers in Urban (Hip hop), Jazz and Contemporary styles, and develop dancers from the start of their competitive experience.
Ruske Performing Arts
