What we support

Arts Out East works with creative people to develop experiences for participation and creativity. These include art exhibitions, public events, theatre and dance performances, creative workshops and more. We support people to tell local stories, involve new audiences and activate local venues and public spaces.

How it works

We start with a conversation about what you would like to do and what support you might need. We can connect you with relevant creative people and organisations, help you find an appropriate venue, help with council processes and grant applications, and help you promote your activity or project with marketing and social media advice. We also provide funding to bring projects to life.

Arts Out East supports projects that do some or all of the following:

1. telling local stories
2. empowering communities to create art projects for the public
3. connecting creatives and communities
4. growing a sustainable local creative economy
5. creating opportunities for surprise and discovery
6. activating locations not usually associated with the arts
